An Evening in BergenFor a city which has more than 350 days of rains in a year, we were extremely lucky to have beautiful weather on both days. I think we owed it to the goodluck charm (Cristina)we brought along with us

The Northern Lights Once again
The Northern Lights Once againSometimes you got to be lucky and then you got to have the eye to spot the Northern lights. While a lot of souls climbed up the Floibanen in search of the elusive Northern lights, a walk through the woods on the way down gave us an opportunity to click this one. Ya we made a few poor souls walk in the woods late night ( specially Uta with her sore ankle) but everyone was happy to see the Northern Lights! And Yes thank you Cristina for letting us know about the possibility of seeing Northern lights

TiredEven the chairs doze off at this early hour. They had a late night waiting on the crowd enjoying the cultural night.  The window pane set in the brick lined wall reflect the morning that Bergen is going to experience.

Black & White The Bryggen - UNESCO world heritage site in Black and white. The old wharf of Bergen, is a reminder of the town’s importance as part of the Hanseatic League’s trading empire from the 14th to the mid-16th century. Many fires, the last in 1955, have ravaged the characteristic wooden houses of Bryggen. Its rebuilding has traditionally followed old patterns and methods, thus leaving its main structure preserved, which is a relic of an ancient wooden urban structure once common in Northern Europe. Today, some 62 buildings remain of this former townscape
