The Morning Views
The Morning ViewsThe Scandinavian fields of gold continued to impress in Norway. Although the skies were laden with dark clouds and there was rain in the air, the lovely red houses along the yellow fields of hay and the fjords in the background made us stop umpteen times
A Poet's Dream
A Poet's DreamThe rain clouds bring about a chill in the air, and the beautiful golden earth draws upon her a blanket of green to escape the cold. A scene so beautiful that it makes you halt in your tracks and keep watching.
A Rorbu
A RorbuA Rorbu is usually a seasonal house built  by the fisherfolk of Norway normally located in the fishing villages. Guess this fisherman was a bit artistic one and decided to make his on the edge of the forest where it beautifully contrasted with the lush greens
Character Outshines Looks
Character Outshines LooksA weathered old barn outshines the colorful display of the rorbu and the green forest, proving that a hard earned character is much more interesting than a colorful looks
The Gray
The GrayRarely does a vibrant landscape of green blue and cloudy skies form a beautiful black and white frame. Norway continued to surprise and this frame perfectly captured the mood of the day
Nestled Amongst The Woods
Nestled Amongst The WoodsA village in Norway doesn't mean a cluttered street with lots of houses. It means that you get to see a beautiful landscape scattered with pastel colored houses, tempting you to  just barge in one of them and spend your complete life there. Captured here is one such village on the banks of a beautiful fjord
Lego Land
Lego LandThe bright pastel colors, the lush green turf, the vivid blue skies and even the grey of the road merge to form a picturesque scene - as if straight out of lego land.
An Endless Journey
An Endless JourneyThe path lies in front of you. The fjord on your side, the mountains flanking you on the other. You don't know what lies around the corner, but with vistas like these - who cares about the destination - the journey in itself becomes the destination - a never ending wish to keep going along endlessly, discovering yourself.
The Clouds Roll In
The Clouds Roll InA wet day meant that the rain clouds were never far away and we were always kept watching them to ensure that we are not caught in those thunderstorms
In A World Of it's Own
In A World Of it's OwnSet away from the rest of the town, a lone red barn makes it's presence felt amongst the green fields and bales of hay and the back drop of the mountains.  A perfect place to catch up that book in the evening or just retire with your loved one by a roaring hot fireplace.
The High Jump
The High JumpFor those who dare - the Atlantic sea route - touted as one of the best places to watch a storm from, was the highlight of our drive. Although we were unlucky that there was no storm and crazy waves crashing on the road, but the sight itself was mesmerizing. One of the many bridges that seem to challenge you to a high jump on the route.
A Close Up
A Close Up Close up of the Atlantic route as seen from the distance
Crystal Clear
Crystal ClearThe term crystal clear water must have its origins in Norway. Even the sea water is so transparent that you can easily view the sea bed below. In Norway there is an easy rule to gauge the depth of any waterbody - if you can't see the bottom - it is deep. As simple as that.
The Atlantic Sea Route
The Atlantic Sea Route The sea route winds across many islands, connected through multiple bridges and tunnels. Yes undersea tunnels that connect some of these islands.  At strategic points the Norwegian road corporation or whosoever is responsible for making the roads have ensured that they also provide odd fishing points along the sea route so that enthusiastic fisher men can stand and fish without bothering the traffic.
The Moors
The Moors Although I have not had an experience of the English moors, this seemed quite close. Rolling hills of green carpets right by the sea side. Something that you can't put it in words.. you just have to experience.
Swept Away
Swept AwayThe long sweeping curves of the atlantic route sweep you away off your feet. There is nothing that you can do to stop yourself, rather there is nothing that you want to do but to let go with the flow and enjoy some of the most beautiful sights in the world

Weathered
WeatheredA barn stands alone in the middle of nowhere - a typical sight in Norway
The Perfect Resting Place
The Perfect Resting PlaceRight below the cluster of trees, lay a graveyard. Usually graveyards are supposed to be spooky places, but here looking at this one, I couldn't help but envy the souls that are buried there. Such a perfect setting, gently rolling hills, beautiful meadows, a white church standing tall amidst the bright red rorbu's and the dark clouds in the background. What else could one wish for?
Bud
BudThe pier at Bud, a small jetty against the backdrop of the village was a pretty place to watch the sun set. An old man walked up to us and told us that we would get the best fish at a restaurant close by, but unfortunately for us it was closed.  He spent a few minutes talking to us and asked us where we had come from. Soon he was gone.... till we realized where he had gone....
A Getaway Into My World
A Getaway Into My WorldAway from the eyes of the prying world, take me to a place which is ours. Just ours, where the setting sun paints a new frame everyday and the sea compliments it with it's calmness. Build me a home where I can be with you in peace and spend the nights in your arms, far away from the worries of the world.
And Off He Rode Into The Sunset
And Off He Rode Into The SunsetThe old man was suddenly seen riding the waves in his boat into the setting sun with his lady love to the island in the middle of nowhere. What a place to live life....
Love
LoveThe sun kissed goodbye to the earth. A lingering kiss on her forehead. The earth blushed, turning into shades of pink that she didn't know existed.  A sudden burst of warmth flushed into her cheeks as she tried to hide her face in her silken hair. The green hues of her dress complimenting her  beautifully and her eyes reflecting the glimpses of the story that just took place
A Picture Perfect Sunset
A Picture Perfect SunsetA lone rorbu in a corner of the island, calm waters of the fjord, marshy and squidgy grass banks, a hint of a small clump of trees in the distance and the perfect golden hues of the setting sun against a rainy sky - I could trade everything in this world to watch this view again and again. Well almost everything!! :)
