Voss Church
The Borgund Stave ChurchThe Borgund stave church - one of the oldest stave churches in Norway - and probably the only museum we visited. A lovely building built out of wood and covered with Tar so as to protect it from the elements
Different HuesAs the sunlight reaches various parts of the church in different intensities, it melts the tar coating in different quantities. Hence the church which is originally made of wood and coated with tar to preserve the wood, forms a beautiful mixture of brown and black.

The Longest TunnelNorway is a land of tunnels - with the average length of a tunnel being 5 km. As you explore the country side you come across tunnels which have round abouts built into them, and then there are some which are way longer than usual. The longest tunnel in Norway - 24.51 km is decorated with these kind of neon light patterns after every 5 km to ensure that the drivers don't lose focus. A sight to behold ain't it?

HuldraThe huldra - is a legend of Norway - a beautiful mythical lady who lures you into the forest with her beautiful voice and enchanting music - While enjoying this waterfall - all of a sudden a heavenly music started playing and we could spot the huldra right next to the waterfall dressed in red ... ya a staged performance alright.. but couldn't have been more enchanting.

Measuring the depthThe water in Norway never ceased to amaze me. Wherever you go, most likely you are able to see the bottom of the stream, river or soemtimes even the sea... Simple logic.. if you cant see the bottom.. it is too deep to try and wade across

FlamThe Flam village offers a breath taking view on the train down from Myrdal. The curved river, an old church, pastel colored houses and huge mountains in the backyard. Essence of Norway is this.
